01

Repairs

Should I fix my sliding door or buy a new one?

Fix it, in most cases. When the frame and glass are sound, new rollers and an adjustment cost far less than a replacement.

Why does my slider take so much effort to open?

Dirt in the track or worn-out rollers, usually both. Clean the track first; if it’s still hard, the rollers need replacing.

What’s that scraping noise when the door moves?

A failed roller letting the panel rub on the rail. It gets worse with use and can damage the track.

My slider jumped off the rail. What now?

Leave it and keep the area clear. Glass panels are heavy, and something underneath is usually broken. Give us a call.

Can you repair my sliding screen door too?

Yes. We replace screen rollers and latches and rescreen torn panels.

Do you repair sliders in older Deltona homes?

Yes, they’re most of what we see. Parts for older aluminum doors are still widely available.

What kinds of doors do you work on?

Aluminum and vinyl sliders from most brands, from basic builder doors to impact-rated ones.

02

Prices & payment

How much is sliding door repair in Deltona?

Rollers and tracks start at $149, locks and handles at $79, drafts and leaks at $99, and glass at $299. You get the exact price before any work, and larger doors may cost more.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Coming out to look and giving you a price is free.

Why would my price be above the starting rate?

Extra panels, oversized or impact glass, a damaged rail or parts that need ordering. We explain it before we start.

Is a deposit required?

No. Payment happens after the job, once the door works the way it should.

How can I pay?

We accept cash, check and all major cards.

Do you guarantee your work?

Every repair has a 6-month warranty on parts and labor. If it fails in that time, we fix it free.

Deltona homes

Do you work on lakefront homes?

Yes. Deltona has dozens of lakes, and doors facing the water take extra wind and moisture. We repair them regularly.

Our house is from the 80s. Can the original slider be saved?

Usually. The frames from that period hold up well. It’s the rollers, latches and seals that wear, and those can be replaced.

Do you help landlords with rental properties?

Yes. We can coordinate with tenants and send photos and invoices to the owner.

Does sandy soil affect sliding doors?

It can. Sand tracked in from the yard settles in the rail and wears the rollers, so vacuuming the track helps a lot.

What parts of Deltona do you cover?

All of Deltona, including Deltona Lakes, Lake Theresa, Lake Gleason, Deltona Woods, Arbor Ridge, Saxon Ridge, plus DeBary, Orange City, Osteen, Lake Helen.

Is repairing cheaper than replacing for an older home?

Almost always. A replacement door is a big expense, while most repairs come in at a fraction of that.

04

Scheduling

How fast can you get to Deltona?

Often within a few days and sometimes the next day. Call or text for our earliest opening.

How long is a typical visit?

One to two hours for most roller, lock and seal repairs. Glass jobs may need a return visit.

Do I need to stay home for the repair?

Someone needs to let us in and approve the quote. After that, it’s up to you.

Will photos help?

Yes. A photo of the bottom of the door, the rail or the lock lets us bring the right parts.

Can I request a call at a certain time?

Yes. Use the call-back form, choose a time, and we’ll ring you then.

05

Upkeep

How do I clean my sliding door track properly?

Vacuum out the dirt, wipe the rail with a damp rag, let it dry and finish with a light spray of dry silicone.

Can I put grease on the rollers?

No. Grease and oil attract sand and dirt, which makes things worse. A dry silicone spray is the better choice.

How frequently should I clean it?

Every few weeks is ideal, especially if kids and pets come in from the yard.

How many years do rollers last?

Often 10 to 20 years. If the door has become heavy or noisy, they’re probably finished.

Can I adjust a dragging door myself?

Often, yes. Screws near the bottom corners of the panel raise the rollers. If that doesn’t help, the rollers need replacing.
